How to make paal kozhukatai - amma style?

Ingredients:
Roasted raw rice flour - 1 cup
Water - 2 cups
Milk - 1/2 to 1 cup
Jaggery - 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
Salt - as per taste

I prefer using red raw rice for this dish, for it tastes better than usual white rice. Soak the rice in water for 4 hours and dry it for 15 mins before you powder it. The same rice flour can be used for making puttu. Await the recipe for puttu soon.

Take rice flour in a bowl, with salt and add half cup of warm water or enough water to make a dough. It should not be liquid'y, instead keep stirring it with a spatula so that it comes together as a dough. If you are not sure about the amount of water, add water little by little while stirring. Once you have a non sticky dough, make small balls each of half inch in diameter. Make the rice flour balls and set it aside. Make sure that it does not stick to each other.

In a sauce pan, add jaggery and a cup of water over medium heat. Let it be on the flame for about 10 mins till jaggery is dissolved completely.

In a pan add 1 cup of  water and bring it to boil. Once the water boils, reduce the heat to medium and add in the rice balls one by one. Let the rice balls cook for about 5 mins in the water. While its cooking, add 1/2 to 1 cup of milk and let it boil for another 5 mins. Now add the jaggery syrup and boil for few more mins. In the end add grated coconut and cardamom powder.
