How to make basic potato fry for rice?

Ingredients:
Potato - 1 large diced in cubes
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Chili powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Tumeric powder - a pinch
Salt - as per taste

This fairly an easy and tasty side dish for chapati or rice. You may add or reduce the amount of chili powder as per liking. Whenever I am in a hurry, I make this.

Rinse the diced potato a couple of times to get rid of the excess starch. In a kadai, warm up 1 tablespoon of oil and add the diced potato. Saute the potatoes in the oil for about 3-4 mins. Now add in the chili powder, coriander powder, tumeric powder and salt. Mix everything well and cover the kadai with a lid and cook it on low flame for 6-7 mins.

Toss the potatoes every 2 mins till they are done. You should be left with crispy and tasty potato fry.

This potato fry tastes good with almost anything. But I love it with curd rice.

I shall share another variant of potato fry shortly.
