Ingredients:
Seer fish - 4 pieces
Chilli powder - 2 tablespoon
Tumeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Lime - half lime juice
Salt - as per taste
Oil - for deep frying
Water - 1/2 tablespoon
You may replace lime juice with tamarind juice as well.
This fish fry is one of the easiest ways of cooking fish. This recipe tastes delicious with any fish especially seer and pink fish that is available in Tamil Nadu. I learnt this recipe from my mum who cooks everything so quickly.
Add chilli powder, tumeric powder, lime juice or tamarind juice and salt in a small dish. The consistency of this marinate should be in between thin and thick. If its a little thick add few drops of water.
Once the marinate is ready, apply it generously over the fish steaks and let it rest at least for 30 mins in the refrigerator.
While the fish marinates, heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Once the oil is warm enough deep fry the marinates fish steaks.
