How to make chocolate cake?

Ingredients:
Maida/Plain flour - 1 cup
Granulated white sugar - 1 cup
Coco powder - 1/2 cup
Baking powder - 3/4 teaspoon
Baking soda - 3/4 teaspoon
Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Egg - 1
Oil - 1/4 cup
Warm water - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1/2 cup
Vanilla essence - 1/2 teaspoon

The procedure to make this chocolate cake is pretty simple. Pre heat your oven to 180 degree C while you prepare the cake batter.

In a large bowl add maida/plain flour, sugar, coco powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt. You may sift all of these ingredients, if you feel there might be lumps in coco powder or to mix everything well. Set this aside

In another bowl add oil, warm water, milk, egg (preferably beaten) and vanilla essence. Whisk all of these ingredients well.

Now add the whisked ingredients into the dry ones and combine them well. Once its combined well, your cake batter is ready. You may use an appropriate cake mold and pour in the batter. Ensure that you fill in the batter only upto 3/4 of the mold giving space for the cake to rise.

Bake the cake at 180 degree C for about 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
