How to make soft idlis?

Ingredients:
Idli batter
Oil for greasing

Add 2 cups of water in the idli pot and set it on high flame.
Grease the idli plates with little oil and fill them with idli batter. You may also use a wet cotton cloth over the idli plates and pour the idli batter over it.

Place the idli plates in the idli pot and turn the heat to medium. Cook the idlis for about 10-15 mins. Poke the idlis with a tooth pick to find out if its done. If the toothpick comes out clean, then its done else you may cook them for a few more minutes.
