Hair oil for hair growth

Who doesn't like a good hair oil that aids hair growth. Since we have many coconut trees, my dad is religious is drying the coconuts out and giving it for grinding for pure coconut oil. We sometimes use this coconut oil for cooking and I mainly use it to pamper my coarse, thick curly hair.

The fresh smell of the coconut oil is very soothing, however I try to incorporate other ingredients as well to make it even more better. I have a bunch of hair oil recipes that you may try for different needs. Some recipes might require more time than the other. I have listed down 2 of my favorite hair oils using coconut oil.

1. Coconut oil infused with curry leaves:
This is one of the simplest and easiest hair oil that you can prepare when you don't have much time. We all know the goodness of curry leaves (I remember including more curry leaves in my diet, to aid hair growth). The preparation is very simple. All you had to do is take enough amount of coconut oil required for your hair length/thickness and warm it up in a small pan. Now add a handful of curry leaves to the warm oil. Ensure that you lower the flame so that the curry leaves doesn't burn away. Take the oil off the stove and let it cool down. Strain the curry leaves out. Then apply the oil and leave it on your hair for at least an hour or more and then rinse it off with gentle shampoo.

2. Coconut oil infused with garlic cloves:
This is another simplest and easiest hair oil which gives you good results. This hair oil not just aids hair growth, in addition to it, it also helps fight hair fall. Warm up enough coconut oil in a small pan and add 3-5 garlic cloves. To have better effect, you may crush the garlic cloves a little. Again the key is not to burn the garlic cloves, instead keep the flame low on your stove so that all the essence of garlic fuses into the oil. Leave the oil and garlic on a low flame for at least 5 minutes and turn the stove off. Let the oil cool down enough and apply it on your hair. Then wash it off with a gentle shampoo.
