How to make raagi adai?

Ingredients:
Raagi powder - 1 cup
Onion - 1 medium chopped
Green chilies - 2 finely chopped
Garlic - 2 pods finely chopped
Ginger - a small piece finely chopped
Murungai keerai (drumstick leaves) - few (this is optional)
Salt - as per taste
Oil - as needed
Water - as needed to make a smooth dough

Add raagi powder, chopped onion, green chilies, garlic, ginger, murungai keerai and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix all of the ingredients well and start pouring water gradually enough to make a soft dough. Do not pour more water and make it runny. Keep this dough aside.

Warm up a tava and sprinkle a little bit of oil just to ensure that the adai does not stick. Now take a small goose berry sized dough and press it against the tava. Keep pressing it with a spatula till it is as thin as possible. Pour oil to it sides and cook the adai for about 3-4 mins each side depending upon how thick or thin it is.

This is a healthy dish that can be had for breakfast along side of coconut chutney.
