Body heat is something that I suffer from all the time since childhood. It could be hereditary or because of our life style and I suffer from both :'(.
My body is always hot and when people happen to touch my hand/body often confuse that I've got fever. I feel embarrassed every time I go for eyebrow threading, cos I may have to explain that I am not running a fever and it is my body which is hot.
Excess body heat could be annoying as it makes our eyes watery, we may shed more hair, boils in your face/body, especially burning sensation during peeing.
Over the years I have learnt many natural ways to reduce excess body heat and I have listed down those that are very effective.
1. If you want immediate relief from excess body heat, all you do is to swallow a tablespoon of fenugreek seeds with water. Be cautious not to bite the seeds as they taste bitter.
2. Drink lots and lots of water, till your body flushes out excessive heat.
3. Drinking tender coconut is also a best way of relieving excess body heat.
4. You may apply castor oil on your stomach covering your belly button before your hit the bed. Wear an old night dress which you are okay to stain it with oil.
5. Apply castor oil on your toe nails before you go to bed.
6. Add cucumber as part of your everyday food as this increases the water content in your body and in turn brings down your body temperature .It also fills your food cravings :D
7. You may add buttermilk in your diet as this not just helps in reducing body heat but also helps in improving digestion.
8. My mom swears by this - Drink a cup of warm milk before you sleep as this not only reduces body heat but also warm milk aids in good sleep.
9. Sometimes during winter, our blankets may add up to your body heat. To avoid this along with not feeling cold, you may first cover yourself with a cotton sheet and over that you put your blanket. This way, you stay warm as well as not add up to your body heat.
10. Drinking lime juice also helps in reducing body heat.
