How to make easy chicken briyani?

Ingredients:
Rice - 2 cups
Chicken - 250 gms
Onion - 1 large finely chopped
Tomatoes - 2 medium diced
Pudina - handful nicely chopped
Coriander leaves - handful nicely chopped
Briyani masala - 2 tablespoon
Chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
Water - 6 cups (since I used ponni rice, if its basmati rice  use 4 cups)
Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
Cardamom - 3/4 nos
Cloves - 5/6 nos
Bay leaf - 2 nos
Oil/Ghee - 3 tablespoon

Wash and soak rice atleast for 15 mins before cooking. Marinate chicken with briyani masala, chilli powder and half tablespoon of ginger garlic paste for alteast 30 mins.

I have made this briyani using pressure cooker, you may do the same with electric cooker as well.

Add oil/ghee in a warm pressure cooker and once the oil/ghee warms up add cinnamon stick, cardamom, cloves and bay leaf. Add fines chopped onion and saute till it turns pink. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till oil separates. Add chopped tomatoes and saute till it becomes mushy. To this add chopeed coriander and pudina leaves. Add the marinated chicken along with the said water. Bring the mixture to a boil and pressure cook for 2 whistles for tasty briyani.
